I made it to the end of the rainbow...

I walked past this broken pot every morning for about a week, It was outside a house on Talfourd Road in Peckham. Finally I decided to take it home and try and repair it. With the intention of returning it once it was "repaired".
I still had in mind this notion of value and worth and once I had returned the pot would the owner be grateful and use it again or discard it because of it's imperfection.
I have no intention of informing the owner of my identity nor my concept, it's merely for my own curiosity.

It's also something new for me, although I'm still questioning Functionality, value and desire, with this piece i'm going about it in a completely different way. The imperfections are not going to be erased in any way, if anything I will be exposing them and then returning the object to the owner.
N.B After talking to my housemate I have decided to leave a link to this blog with the repaired pot just incase  the owner gets a bit freaked out when I leave it on their doorstep.

The damage is pretty severe, one side has completely come away and there is a crack going all the way around the remaining good side.

Fortunately all of the pieces are present.

This is the side that was in tacked and had the crack running all the way around it. I decided the best thing to do was to brake it off and repair it as well.

The pot is round again and fastened back together!

Now to cover up that nasty scar....

                                             Good as New!

I am going to return the pot this evening and if I don't see it back on the street in the morning I will assume that it is functional once again.
